This policy explains what RUST HAVEN ("we", "us") collects when you use rusthaven.co.uk or play on our Rust game servers, why we collect it, and what control you have over it.

Who we are

RUST HAVEN is a community-run Rust game server and website operated from the United Kingdom. Contact us through our Discord at discord.gg/rusthaven for any question about this policy or your data.

What we collect

• Steam account data. When you sign in with Steam we receive your Steam ID, display name and avatar. We never see your Steam password.
• Discord account data. If you link Discord, we store your Discord ID and username so rewards and roles can be matched to your account.
• Game server data. Your Steam ID, in-game name, IP address, connection times, chat messages, and moderation records such as warnings, kicks and bans. This is standard for any Rust server and is used to enforce the rules.
• Store data. What you bought, when, the amount, and the reference the payment provider gives us. We never receive or store your card number. Card details are entered on Stripe or PayPal systems, not ours.
• Technical data. Your IP address, browser type and pages visited, recorded in ordinary web server logs.

Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary for the site to work, such as keeping you signed in and protecting forms against abuse. We also use cookies for advertising, described below.

Advertising

• Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet.
• You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You can also opt out of a third party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share only what is needed with the services that run this community:

• Stripe and PayPal for payment processing.
• Google AdSense for advertising.
• Steam and Discord for account sign in and linking.
• Our hosting providers, who store the website and game server data on our behalf.

How long we keep it

Account and purchase records are kept while your account exists and for up to six years afterwards, because UK tax rules require us to keep records of sales. Game server logs and chat records are kept for up to twelve months. Ban records may be kept indefinitely so that bans cannot be evaded.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or the EU you have the right to ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, and to object to how we use it. Ask in our Discord and we will deal with the request within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Deleting your account removes your store and website records. It does not lift an active ban, and it does not remove records we are required to keep.

Children

This site is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top always shows when it last changed, and significant changes will be announced in our Discord.
